Whoa whoa whoa. Uh. Am I hallucinating here? Did I not cook that chicken as carefully as I thought? Because: Tigers win, EIGHTEEN TO ONE. Man, I just swung on real quick to check the scores before I settle into a Red Dwarf marathon, and my jaw dangled for a minute when I saw that one. I mean, hell, it's hardly as if I don't think this team is capable of such a thing, but I'd expect that score from the Red Sox rather than my other teams (although apparently not today, like, I thought the D-Rays were supposed to own the Yankees, guys, get it together). Our offense is clearly as ridiculous as it ought to be.

Oh yes, and, let us not overlook Justin Verlander's seven innings with six hits, two walks, one run, and four strikeouts. Sweeeet. And with Rodriguez catching at that, which makes his very first win not being caught by Vance. I am excited about this too, as giving a rookie a personal catcher would be rather silly for very many reasons but I still wouldn't object. It's encouraging to see him give a good peformance with Rodriguez behind the plate.
