Sep. 29th, 2004 05:38 pmAm too cramped and is too dark to type much, so a few brief bullets.
* Had nice time in Bangor, but spent entirely too much time cars driving aimlessly about. Was vaguely sick to stomach most of weekend. Saw Wimbledon. My advice: Don't repeat that mistake. Was happy to spend time with
manderspander and her family. Got her younger sister hooked on Freaks and Geeks. =D
* Am approaching crucial need of job. Where does my money always go? I don't understand. Bugger if I've got much of anything to show for having gone through something like seven hundred dollars in less than a month.
* So of course went to see another movie, Shaun of the Dead. Knew nothing about it aside from the poster tagline: "A romantic comedy with zombies," but have been intrigued by zombie movies lately (damn you, Re-Animator), so figured what the hell. Turned out to be extremely funny and rather scary British parody/romcom/horror movie. May well wake up at three in the morning wishing I hadn't gone, but for now am thrilled, loved it, want to see it again, and already can't wait for the DVD release. And, of course, highly recommend it.
* Tomorrow, the thirtieth, is forty-nineth anniversary of James Dean's death. Shall acknowledge by wearing James Dean shirt and watching Rebel Without a Cause.
* Shall also go to mall and fill out many applications. Gee, that sounds familiar.
. . . okay, so I had more to say than I thought.
