Mar. 30th, 2004 02:08 pmI finally got to head for Amazon with some extra money and order the BttF trilogy DVDs. I've been talking about that for how many months now? Just as well, though, as waiting has driven the price down to, you know, a fairly reasonable amount to pay for movies that I'm overall not that crazy about. But I'm really damn tired of those worn-out copies at Movie Gallery, and also I would like to have access to George McFly young Crispin any time I choose without having to watch him catch a meat cleaver with his face. (Friday the 13th Part IV, remember? Pay attention.) Plus, I got the latest volume of Transmetropolitan, which is only the most wonderfully entertaining (and, in the current political climate, highly unsettling) black futuristic hilarious heartbreaking graphic novel EVER. Try it. Seriously. Do it.
Also, I finally figured out that, duh, now I'm on Netflix I can rent Firefly rather than buying it cold, since I'd never seen it before. I watched the first disc last night and loved it. Want the rest to get here NOW PLEASE.
Oh, and just so you know, a copy of Velvet Goldmine is on its little way, so I'll finally be watching it quite soon. Now the question is: Will it live up to what I've built up in my head since I first resolved to see it, oh, three or four years ago?
