comme_un_buddha) is the queen of all that is awesome. Since she doesn't need her laptop till after Christmas (being on winter break and all), she's letting me borrow her power adaptor until then. Best Christmas gift ever.
And here I thought I was going to be stuck entertaining myself with silly things like movies and books. Perish the thought! I would like to get back to my Firefly set for a bit, though. I'd only watched it through once, and I'd forgotten how good it is.
But yep, I'll be around per usual for the time being, at least until Christmas Eve and Day, but then I don't expect too many people will be around then, either.
In conclusion, yay Betsey! Boo overpriced Mac bullshit! I knew there would be drawbacks, but eighty bucks for a fucking power adaptor is ridiculous. I bet parts like that are cheaper to replace for a PC. I love my iBook dearly, but when it comes time to replace it, I may consider switching to the Dark Side. Especially if I ever decide that I want an mp3 player or something.
Oh, and not mentioned in the kerfuffle is thatowllover711 was kind enough to buy me some paid time, which gives me some extra time to put aside money to renew for another year. Thank you so much! That's a huge help. Ha, and I bet I get used to the extra icon space and end up having to budget for that, too. That must be LJ's evil plan. The bastards. ♥
