beckla30 and I were just talking this afternoon about possible names being thrown around for a trade to bring Josh Beckett to Detroit, and I get home from work tonight to find that it looks he's coming to Boston, anlong with Mike Lowell.
I can't say I love giving up Hanley Ramirez and Anibel Sanchez - my panic button is screaming about Theo's farm system - but the more I think about Josh Beckett here, the more I like it. He will always have a place in my heart for that fabulous 2-0 CG win to clinch the World Series against the Yankees in 2003. I'll admit I don't know much about his abilities, since he didn't register too much on my radar this year, but seeing others' reactions has been encouraging. I'd like to see this deal go through.
