What is with my teams and running into the best teams in their leagues right after they hit .500?

The Tigers hit .500, they play the White Sox, they get swept, they are still recovering. If they win today, they will be at .500 again, and guess who they go on to play tomorrow? YES THAT'S RIGHT.

The Astros hit .500 before All Star Break and come back for a series against the Cardinals. They are now a game back below .500, but could pull even again if the offense can back Roger Clemens up this afternoon.

How weird is that?

Whoa. One book comes out and I suddenly have three days' worth of baseball logging to catch up on. Some would just let it go, ride with the flow, pick up with tonight and go from there. Some are not as compulsive dedicated as I.

So. Briefly, the past three days of baseball for my teams, in, oh, alphabetical order. Cut tagged because, you know, writing about nine games does not make for a short post, no matter how brief I am.

Next up: the Pirates. Hopefully we can get back up to .500 with this series.

Next up: Tampa Bay. And we are still in first by half a game. And I hate the Devil Rays. And I hope McClelland is there and gets hit by a wild pitch. Or any pitch. Or any object. Go Red Sox! And go Rangers! Kick the Yanks in the nads for us!

Next up: The White Sox. Sigh. Well, maybe the brawl will bring them together and make their game better and make the White Sox CRY.

Whew. That was fun. If it hadn't taken over an hour to write 'cos I'm such a baseball whore, I might consider doing it that way more often. Too bad I have so many teams.
