Ooh, Schilling is doing a rehab start with Pawtucket next Wednesday.

Now, I still have my doubts about Schilling's health and whether or not he'll be the same, and I'm happy with our rotation just the way it is (heh, I am so resistant to change), but whoever gets knocked off the rotation goes to the bullpen, and we could seriously use the help there. Everyone's saying it'll probably be Bronson, and much as I hate to see him stuck in the bullpen is how much I love the thought of having him available for long relief.

I am vastly amused by the fact that, in OMG Rivalry Interleague Part II, we've got Royals vs Rockies. What's that? The Rivalry of Who Sucks the Most?

Yesterday, my Designated Yankee Fan Nemesis came in all sadfaced and said that he was going to start rooting for the Tigers. This is the second time he has done this. Next time I'm going to tell him that we don't need fairweather fans kthx, and then laugh for five straight minutes at the idea of a fairweather fan fleeing from the Bronx to Detroit. As he said on his way out the door, we are in Bizarro World.

Baaaaaah tired and thus merely a short obligatory post tonight.

Red Sox win 8-0 with eight bazillion homeruns. Doug Mirabelli got a three-run homer, Manny got a three-run homer, and Papi got a two-run homer. Also, Manny made an awesome catch that scared me half to death because slid right into a wall with his leg and that could so easily have gone horribly wrong. But it didn't, so it was thus awesome instead of fateful. =D

If anything else happened - aside from Wake's great pitching, obviously - I don't know, because tired and limited attention span.

The Astros are currently up 4-0 against the Rangers in the seventh. I haven't been doing much more than occasionally glancing at GameCast for that one, but I'm gonna go ahead and guess that Roy Oswalt has been doing some more of that studly lights out thing he's been so good at lately. Also, Jason Lane got a two-run homer, but if he thinks I'm not going to make fun of him every once in a while for forgetting the outs then he is sorely mistaken.

The Yankees made me nervous there for a second, what with Tino's two-run homer in the ninth and all, but they still lost 6-4. For a minute it looked as though Jeter was going to be the last out yet AGAIN, but he managed a single and left that job for Cano instead. The Daily News today had this great column about how, basically, if the Yankees do not win this series against the Mets, small puppies will die. Or something, it was hilarious.

The Tigers have been playing the Diamondbacks for, like, twenty minutes, and the score's tied at zero in the second.

And now it's bedtime.
