(no subject)

My goal for today was to continue my posting streak (many consecutive days in a row! Yay!), but without mentioning the Princess. Unfortunately, gutterqueen had to go and post a bunch of lovely icons, and one of them had to be the above piece of hilarity, and I had to snag it, so I fail. Worth it, though. =D

In other news, today a regular/friend of the manager's was in the store, driving her up a wall while she was trying to count a deposit (or something, I'm not a manager, I don't know). We were all cracking up and I was cheerfully changing sides at random depending on how my efforts could best serve to string the whole thing along. Finally, Lori turned to me and demanded that I do something to get Rob away so she could count in peace.

"Should I take him outside for a smoke?"
"Anything. Just get him out of here?"
"Okay!" So I sort of push Rob outside: "Let's go have a cigarette. Except you'll have to give me one, because I don't have mine on me." He allows himself to be pushed and has no problem with sharing, because he's a good guy. =)

Lori probably got a good two minutes of quiet before I suggested to Rob that he use his cell phone to call hers. =D

But seriously, how often do you get to help your manager by going for a cigarette fifteen minutes before you're supposed to go home anyway?

This and watching the employees at D'Angelos antagonize each other while they took eight years to make my sandwich was probably the highlight of my day. *g*
