Sep. 23rd, 2003 12:40 pmSo - here I am in Yarmouth. I'm so sick of moving. The whole process is just annoying and I've done it way too much in the past couple of years. And that's that. I'm at the library and have an hour on the comp and lots to do, so moving on.
Saw Underworld yesterday. It was . . . it was . . . how do I put this? Oh, yes. LOUD. Seriously. Every sound effect was exaggerated and amplified, plus the theatre I was in had the sound way up. It was like being at a rock concert, but not fun. Also, it was very dark. It's about vampires and werewol - excuse me, lycans, after all. So no full lighting here! It's all dark and atmospheric and forbidding and everyone wears black and what lighting is there is blue! The entire movie is black and blue, like a big loud bruise.
That's it. Seriously. There's no plot, characters, acting, or dialogue to speak of. This movie was so bad that . . . wait for it . . . it made LXG look like a paragon or entertainment. At least LXG had one interesting character, one enjoyable performance, and a few laughs. The only time Underworld was at all entertaining was when this one character randomly turned Irish for one scene.
Dear Kate Beckinsale: Please do more Shakespeare. It worked out pretty well that one time you tried it. Thank you.
And that's it. Gonna get a job soon. Am settling in fine at home and pleased to have the WB once more. Yep. The end.
