Arrrrgh.
I've been back on days at work for a few weeks now, but thanks to a vacationing coworker, I'm covering three night shifts this week. Guess which ones? Today, tomorrow, and Thursday, of course. Guess what series it's making me miss?
Yeaaaaah.
Originally I was planning to defy the manager and have the game on the radio (I'm not allowed to listen to baseball at work because during the postseason last year I had the nerve to show some emotion, like, excuse the shit out of me if I get upset because the team I've invested all my postseason energy into barely shows up at the World Series), but.
hoedogg and I came up with a brilliant plan to share an MLBTV account. This is brilliant because he lives in the South, and we're putting it on his card and address to we can watch the Red Sox! Braves games'll be blacked out, but unlike me, he has cable, so that works out fine.
So, I have decided to wait and watch the archives when I get home. This will be difficult because it will mean:
I have to leave my cell phone at home. I check game scores compulsively on it, and no way I'd be able to resist the temptation.
I have to leave the radio alone. No switching to the game for just a second.
I have to somehow avoid hearing any information from customers.
I cannot read my friendslist when I get home.
So this will be an interesting experiment.
