I don't know anything about steampunk, I'm afraid, but Jim is pretty excited about the chance to take Molly shopping for gorgeous Victorian dresses. So - there's that?

Janna Moriarty crossdresses almost exclusively in order to downplay her gender so she'll be taken more seriously by the people she deals with. She's so good at it that a lot of people do in fact assume the J in "J Moriarty" stands for James.

Conversely, Serena Moran has taken to doing a lot of her sniping in a miniskirt and heels, just to demonstrate to her boss (and her boss's associates) that girly girls can get shit done and be respected, too. The primary result of this is Janna inventing creative punishments for anyone who spends too much time checking Serena out, but Serena thinks that's hot, so she's okay with it. And when Janna does need to play up her femininity, no one else is allowed to do her makeup.



I don't even know. It just seems to me that the automatic direction people seem to take the idea of genderflipped Moriarty in is "femme fatale with extra crazy" and I really wanted to avoid that. I don't know if this is any better, but I do love the idea of tiny girly Serena Moran as one of the world's best assassins.
