So. Is there anything about this new update that doesn't suck?

I'm officially abandoning LJ RPing. Wanna thread? Let's do it at Dreamwidth. I have a fuckton of invite codes, plus I think account creation is open this week, so don't even worry about it.

Because this is the account I am signed in on over in the browser that will actually allow me to change my icons and POST MY COMMENTS.

At some point tomorrow, I'll leave a comment in our thread with a link directing you to a DW post for them, because I cannot even with this shit. I'm not switching to Safari just so I can fucking RP. Or comment on anything. At all.

Also, judging from what I'm reading among the infuriated comments at the news comm, LJ is pretty much broken for long threads now, anyway! Ugh, I wish it were possible to import communities.

If you set your journals/rp communities to "enable custom comments", it shows comment screens in the journal format rather than the default formet. It doesn't make it perfect, but it helps a whole hell of a lot. Makes icon selection and comment titles same as normal.

This is true! But I hate custom comment pages, man, I disabled them on all my accounts and make constant use of style=min for a REASON.

Thanks for the reminder, though. It does narrowly edge out firing up Safari just to comment on my own fucking journal.
