And breaking the silence of over a week to say: MULTI-COLORED DALEKS HAHAHAHAHA! They will exterminate you in all the colors of the ~~wind~~ rainbow!

Redesign misfire. Bigtime. The Daleks are already boring due to being overplayed, they should not also be making me laugh.

I want to do full reaction posts like I did last series, but now I can't decide on whether to go back to the beginning or just start, like, next week. I feel incomplete! But if I let it go much longer my reactions to the first couple of eps won't be so fresh! Help?

Hahaha. I tweeted that they look like a bunch of colourful vacuum units. :\ In other words? TOTALLY NOT THAT BAD-ASS.

And the Star Warsian fighter jets in space? WTF?

I did really love the Peek Frean self-destructing cookie though. That was awesome.

I like how he had the gravity bubbles just like - built and hanging around. But no one had thought to use them against the Germans.

This was not the strongest episode of the series to date.

I was a bit bored at some points, tbh.

And next week is shaping up to be a mixed bag - for me, anyway. Because while I LOVE those creepy weeping angels, I really don't like River Song.

There was plenty of good stuff, too, I didn't hate it or anything. It just made me go, "Wait, what?" way too many times.

I like River okay, but I'm a little wary of bringing both her and the Angels back in the same episode. I worry that it's going to be a mite crowded, with neither the Angels nor River getting the focus they deserve (or worse, one sacrificed for the sake of the other). Unless it's a two-parter. That'd be nice.

I didn't hate it either! Just that after two AMAZING episodes so far, this one kind of fell flat for me. But I guess they can't all be hits.

A two-parter would be awesome. :D

I know! The awesome of the last two episodes (I watched the premiere ep THREE TIMES before the second ep came out; I have never done that before) made the flaws of this one even more glaring in comparison.

And I've been told below that it is going to be a two-parter. Yay!

I am sad to have to tell you this, but I do believe Gaiman's episode has been pushed back to series six; he's talked about rewriting it accordingly on his blog.

Maybe do an omnibus post for the next episode and then go back to doing one for each episodes? I find designer color Daleks to be extremely un-scary. But to me the Cybermen were always more of the nightmare fuel than Daleks. Daleks mostly scare me because of how much they seem to make the Doctor overact, no matter who's playing him.
