Holy fucking hell, Dollhouse.

I ship Victor/Sierra hard. I do. I love the stuff with them in this episode, and I am fascinated by the fact that the emotions and attachments Sierra develops carry over to Priya.

I even made an icon, which I am putting under the cut instead of using for this post because it's kinda spoilery and I'll probably wait till next week or so to use it:

(Want, take, have, don't bother crediting, using the crop function and slapping on the border is not hard.)

That said - dude. Developing a specific attachment to a fellow Active was, like, the first sign of Alpha's impending ALPHAness. I can buy Adele, with her lingering soft spot for Victor and the fact that she does indeed have a moral center in there somewhere, turning a blind eye to them, but come on. You can't tell me that out of all the people who work there, someone hasn't gone "Uh wtf is this shit?" and gone over Adele's head with their concerns.

I believe, so far, in Echo going under the radar. Echo has developed the ability to lie and cover her trail, and only those who pay specific attention to her (Boyd, Ballard, to an extent Topher) are aware of how very not Doll-like she is becoming. (Adele knows to some degree, but, I think, not as much as they do. And she's curious to see how it unfolds. She interests me, actually, because sometimes I wonder if she's getting to be really shitty at her job or if there are Plans for her character . . .) Boyd and Ballard are not only not turning Echo in to be sent to the Attic, they're actively working to help her hide. So no one of note is going to detect her irregularities until it is far, far too late.

Victor and Sierra, on the other hand, don't know how to hide and don't even know that they should. So what's going on there? Does this kind of thing happen very often? I remember there being surprise at Victor's ability to have a, uh, man reaction (sorry, I can't help it) to Sierra, and that does work with Alpha and Echo. Alpha's response to Echo was to want to kiss her, a distinctly sexual gesture; Victor and Sierra, on the other hand, are totally G-rated. They've begun touching each other a lot, but it's all very innocent, like you might see between children. So maybe that's the difference, and that's why nobody appears to have gotten on the phone to Adele's superiors?

Or, knowing Joss, there's a whole bunch of other shit going down and this will all make perfect sense in the end and I'll reread this and laugh at myself?

Yeah. It's probably that.

(At some point I will probably also talk about how much I love what they're doing with Topher this season. Look who's graduated from the role of one-note comedic sociopath! Love it.)

I don't watch this show but - did someone say sociopath?

Anyway. Somebody on my flist wrote iCarly/Jonas Brothers fic, and I thought of you. :P

Yeah, but he wasn't the evil nasty kind, more the "I'm just over here doing my awesome experiments with no concern for the ethics of the situation" kind.

Heh, she's on my flist too.

I'm beginning to think sociopaths are a bulletproof "kink" of mine. :/

I never would have guessed. *solemn*

Shocking, right? :D
