First: In reference to my last post, you guys are awesome and I love you.
Second: Supernatural!
Okay, I have to get to bed soon, I spent too long chasing after a download that was synced only to give up and discover that the unsynced bit fixed itself after like a minute and a half, so I'm gonna try and keep this short.
Overall: There was some seriously stupid shit in the episode, but it was not entirely worthless. Plot advancement happened, and Misha Collins is funny even when his "comic" material makes me cringe.
Bullet points:
* Bill Buckner? I'm thinking Dean didn't start the episode out in New England. Don't get sloppy now, boy.
* WATERVILLE MAINE. HAHAHAHA. Okay, I live about an hour away from Waterville, and while I have never actually been in the town, it's - uh. Waterville is one of those places where people duck their heads all "Yeah, I grew up in Waterville" and other people wince and make that oh god I'm so sorry "ooh" noise. Which is pretty appropriate as far as SPN settings go, but man, that's as close as I would like the brainsucking archangels to get to me, thank you VERY much.
A couple of additional comments I jotted down while watching the ep:
A black police officer in Waterville, Maine. HAHAHAHA.
Pfft, TWO black people in Waterville. It's not that they're not allowed that far up north, mind you, it's just that they have better taste than that.
You guys, we were until very recently the whitest state in the nation, and the vast, vast majority of our non-white population lives in southern Maine. Where Waterville is not. It's possible there's a black cop in Waterville, maybe even a black family or two, but I would be profoundly unshocked if that was not the case.
* So. Dean is Michael's vessel, Sam is Lucifer's vessel . . . man, I was joking last week when I said that John was clearly God's vessel, but now I'm thinking that the only thing standing between my joke and TV reality is how much Jeffrey Dean Morgan must cost these days.

Also some of the Dean&Castiel stuff was hilarious. Some of it kind of made me cringe.
I totally knew Jess was Lucifer too. The Lucifer stuff was interesting. Don't know how I feel about Sam as Lucifer's vessel, or Dean as Michael's though. I guess we'll see.

I was so relieved when she did change and all she changed into was, you know, the Devil. I can totally handle that. *snerk*

Haha, even that freaked me out. :P

I know I should have known that Sam would be Lucifer's vessel. I just should have known. I want to say more, but it would qualify as a spoiler, so I won't, unless you tell me it's okay. I don't know how you are with spoilers.
And....Jeffrey Dean Morgan has said that he'd love to come back....

Of course he has! Because he's awesome like that. (Plus, what's he gonna say? "Fuck those assholes, I'm never going back"? That'd be good for his image! *g*)

Well, Kripke's just been saying how difficult it is to get him now that he's a big movie star. :D

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
(I'm sorry, Waterville; I love you(?), but no way, man. Neither of those people exist there.)

And I hate to say it, but for two black cops... yeah, similar. It's just. I love you, New England, I love you forever and always and utterly, but racial diversity in places that are not the richer hippie-filled cities is not your strong point. (It's not really your strong point in the richer hippie-filled cities, either, alas.)
