First: In reference to my last post, you guys are awesome and I love you.

Second: Supernatural!

Okay, I have to get to bed soon, I spent too long chasing after a download that was synced only to give up and discover that the unsynced bit fixed itself after like a minute and a half, so I'm gonna try and keep this short.

Overall: There was some seriously stupid shit in the episode, but it was not entirely worthless. Plot advancement happened, and Misha Collins is funny even when his "comic" material makes me cringe.

Bullet points:

* Bill Buckner? I'm thinking Dean didn't start the episode out in New England. Don't get sloppy now, boy.

* WATERVILLE MAINE. HAHAHAHA. Okay, I live about an hour away from Waterville, and while I have never actually been in the town, it's - uh. Waterville is one of those places where people duck their heads all "Yeah, I grew up in Waterville" and other people wince and make that oh god I'm so sorry "ooh" noise. Which is pretty appropriate as far as SPN settings go, but man, that's as close as I would like the brainsucking archangels to get to me, thank you VERY much.

A couple of additional comments I jotted down while watching the ep:

A black police officer in Waterville, Maine. HAHAHAHA.

Pfft, TWO black people in Waterville. It's not that they're not allowed that far up north, mind you, it's just that they have better taste than that.

You guys, we were until very recently the whitest state in the nation, and the vast, vast majority of our non-white population lives in southern Maine. Where Waterville is not. It's possible there's a black cop in Waterville, maybe even a black family or two, but I would be profoundly unshocked if that was not the case.

* So. Dean is Michael's vessel, Sam is Lucifer's vessel . . . man, I was joking last week when I said that John was clearly God's vessel, but now I'm thinking that the only thing standing between my joke and TV reality is how much Jeffrey Dean Morgan must cost these days.

I was going to post a picture of puppies hugging to your last post but Safari died on me and I can't find the picture so have this one instead:

Also some of the Dean&Castiel stuff was hilarious. Some of it kind of made me cringe.

I totally knew Jess was Lucifer too. The Lucifer stuff was interesting. Don't know how I feel about Sam as Lucifer's vessel, or Dean as Michael's though. I guess we'll see.

I was too busy waiting for Jess's face to change into something horrible to worry about who she was. I have this terror of sudden creepy face changes. I think I am allowed to blame The Ring for that one, though I'm not about to go check.

I was so relieved when she did change and all she changed into was, you know, the Devil. I can totally handle that. *snerk*

Haha, even that freaked me out. :P

Starting in New England or not, I loved the Bill Buckner alias. :D As you probably already know.

I know I should have known that Sam would be Lucifer's vessel. I just should have known. I want to say more, but it would qualify as a spoiler, so I won't, unless you tell me it's okay. I don't know how you are with spoilers.

And....Jeffrey Dean Morgan has said that he'd love to come back....

[identity profile] remindmeofthe.livejournal.com 2009-09-25 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I do not like spoilers. Thanks for asking first. :D

Of course he has! Because he's awesome like that. (Plus, what's he gonna say? "Fuck those assholes, I'm never going back"? That'd be good for his image! *g*)

[identity profile] lissa-ann.livejournal.com 2009-09-25 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I usually ask about spoilers. I hate to ruin things for people.

Well, Kripke's just been saying how difficult it is to get him now that he's a big movie star. :D

[identity profile] remindmeofthe.livejournal.com 2009-09-25 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
All of which probably means he's showing up in the finale. As God's vessel. Excellent, I now have a new crack theory to cling to until I'm proven wrong. :D

... Wait they not only put super hot strippers in Waterville, but also a black cop???

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

(I'm sorry, Waterville; I love you(?), but no way, man. Neither of those people exist there.)

[identity profile] remindmeofthe.livejournal.com 2009-09-25 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. Plus, damn, that strip joint was posh. All classy with lavender and tablecloths and shit. You can't even find a place like that in Portland, never mind WATERVILLE.

I do not know Waterville, but to judge from Vermont -- a classy upscale strip joint in a run-down industrial(?) town? AHAHAHAHAHA.

And I hate to say it, but for two black cops... yeah, similar. It's just. I love you, New England, I love you forever and always and utterly, but racial diversity in places that are not the richer hippie-filled cities is not your strong point. (It's not really your strong point in the richer hippie-filled cities, either, alas.)
