It's getting to be that time of the year again: The third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures is beginning October fifteenth. And airing two episodes a week, Thursday/Friday! Which means it'll be over twice as fast, but whatever, DOUBLE DOSE OF SARAH JANE. I may not be able to handle the awesomeness.

I am aware of and mystified by the fact that hardly anyone on the flist watches this show. Why? It's a great show! It's way better than Torchwood and when it's at its best it's right up there with Doctor Who. What do I have to DO to get you guys to watch it?

No. Seriously. I want to know. What do I have to do?

I knooooow. Rani really isn't that distinct a character, basically just Maria Lite with a less talented actress. And her mother is way more obnoxious than Christie, which makes me uneasy because I can't help but wonder if there's a bit of racism in the way she's portrayed. I could be totally wrong, I know nothing about general British attitude toward the Indian population, and lord knows mothers get the short end of the stick in the Whoniverse regardless of their race (paging awesome-in-spite-of-RTD's-best-efforts Jackie Tyler!), but - ergh.

I like Mr Chandra, though. He's no Alan Jackson, but he'll do.

YES! That's totally what I thought too, RE: Rani's mum. And Rani being Maria Lite as well.

I don't know why they made Mrs Chandra as obnoxious as they did, because sometimes I wish I could tell her to just shut up.

But yeah. Mr Chandra's hardcore attitude is something awesome, but definitely not as awesome as Alan Jackson (and his mad hacking skillz)!

... whom you play/played, amirite?

Yeah, I played Alan for a little while. He was awesome, but I just couldn't really get anything going with him in a panfandom setting, and eventually I deleted him. It's funny to me, too, because I apped him at the same time as I did Cal, and I had to work a little to keep Alan's app under five hundred words, but could barely get Cal's above three hundred. I definitely didn't expect Cal to be the one to TAKE OVER MY BRAIN.

D'aww. Don't you just love pups like that? :D James Potter is kinda like that for me.

I get about two paragraphs of description from JK Rowling in the epilogue, and the rest I've got to make up myself. Writing his app was a bit of a stretch, but now the boy just won't leave my head.

Of course, you wouldn't think so, considering how rarely I stick him in the bar (or anyone, really) these days. Sigh.
