Cal! But of course!

1. Cal is the spitting image of his father, redneck serial killer Bobby Barrel. He shares enough features with Violet to get away with talk about wacky genetics in front of the press, but in the Chandler compound, no one ever talked to Cal about why he doesn't look anything like Reed Chandler. And Cal never asked. He still doesn't.

2. Cal claims he's not into sci-fi, but it was his favorite thing to watch when he was stoned. He doesn't think this should count.

3. Once upon a time, Cal's relationship with his uncle was completely normal. Grahame was grateful to have one person in his life who hardly seemed to notice his disability, but, being Grahame Chandler, he was unable to acknowledge this even to himself - forget expressing it. This is why Grahame wrote in his suicide note, "you always had control of me, even when you were very young," but Cal may never understand that.

Heh, personal!canon: Cal's actually Grahame's son. ;) I KNOW VIOLET AND GRAHAME NEVER HAD SEX. PROBABLY.

Sadly, Violet and Grahame having had sex is still infinitely more probable than REDNECK SERIAL KILLER BABYDADDY. And it certainly makes more sense narratively for Grahame to be Cal's father.

. . . of course, this is no longer the biggest problem I have with The Fix now that I've seen the bootleg. *head in hands*
