Hey, a Torchwood drabble! These haven't been happening because I've actually been working on real fic, and I apparently can't do both at once. This popped into my head while I was trying to gain sufficient consciousness to get out of bed, though, and I had to whip it up real quick before heading out home for my brother's birthday party. (He is seven. SEVEN. WHAT THE FUCK.)

This is, technically, recent-past-paradigm, taking place at some vague point after Owen catches up with the timeline again, but it's not canon for the fic, just pure silly wish fulfilment that will never happen. So I am allowed to write it and it doesn't count as cheating. :D

Incredibly vague spoilers for Torchwood 2x06-2x08.

Owen sits with a gasp, wide-eyed. The others stare, then Ianto races over to kneel next to him.

"Owen?"

Owen grins, breathes deep, and kisses him hard.

It's like kissing Owen for the first time - his mouth is warm and wet, and when Ianto curves a hand around his neck, he can feel the pulse against his palm.

They break apart to find the others staring even harder. Gwen and Tosh are gaping; Jack, conversely, looks simultaneously confused and interested.

"Sorry, Harkness," Owen growls. "No threesomes till I've fucked him properly."

Jack considers, then shrugs. "Fair enough."

His voice is soothing, isn't it? It's downright lulling during the narrative exposition. I'm like, "Damn, Barrowman's bored, too."

I also love how the entire story came to a grinding halt for Owen's deathly boring, destroyed-by-canon subplot. And then all of a sudden he's using his alien X-ray glasses or whatever to seduce his ex, so one minute I'm bored and all "This better get relevant soon" and the next John Barrowman is reading me softcore porn while I walk down the street and suddenly I understand the word "surreal" in a way I never have before. This one beats the living shit out of Hidden. The other two have a lot to live up to.
