Naoko's reading is fine, though her Welsh and American accents leave a bit to be desired (her Jack sounds vaguely like a leprechaun, heh). It's the story. It's awful. The plot seems all right so far, more or less what I would expect from a TV tie-in novel, but the purple prose is KILLING me in places and some of the spots of characterization are - well, are causing me to tell Jack to shut up in the middle of a crowded cafeteria. I've read worse as far as TV tie-ins go, but when I'm just reading, I can skim past the badly written stuff. When I'm forced to listen to it, it has to either be hilarious or unbearable. I choose hilarious.
