I think there comes a moment at every job when you realize that your coworkers are just - used to you. Mine came last week.
I was out back washing my hands for the third time in like an hour (I work with food and choose not to wear gloves, so my hands get scrubbed regularly) at one of the hand sinks, which is right next to the dishwashing set up. My manager and a coworker were putting away some dishes. AC/DC's "Back in Black" came on the radio, and I, beinga giant geek full of energy, immediately started bouncing in time to the song. And I'm not talking a subtle little dance here. My feet were leaving the floor. My manager looked over and started teasing me . . .
. . . about drying my hands out washing them so often when I could just wear gloves. My coworker laughed.
Not one word about my spastic interpretive dance, guys. I'm not even sure they noticed. If that doesn't prove that my coworkers are accustomed to my, uh, peculiarities, I don't know what does.
(And no, gloves should not absolve them from washing their hands frequently. Gloves make people lazy about keeping clean. Next time you go to a sandwich shop and they're wearing gloves - just try not to think about it.)

;P
(And I understand the disappearing thing. I haven't been around for the last few days either. I just realized I hadn't seen you around in a while.)
