Funny, I thought I clicked a link at an Astros blog.

Seriously, though, this is a cool article about how Boston is the best baseball city in the league. It's written by an outsider and it's still a better Red Sox article than anything I've seen from our Knights of the Keyboard this season. I wonder if I can get a subscription to the Houston Chronicle? (Haha, that would be awesome. "I'm sorry, you want your paper delivered where?" "Um . . . Portland, Maine? Is that gonna be a problem?")

::snort::

That was about the reaction I got when I called to order a Silver Lake News subscription for my dad as a Christmas present one year.

'And where can we have that delivered for you?'

'Uh, the Philadelphia Suburbs? Will that be cool?'

Kinda off the subject-but you should come down and we should go to a game this season. :)

I am way, way too broke to travel to Boston (I don't drive, so I'd have to buy a bus ticket) and go to Fenway this season (*cries*), but maybe you could come up to Portland sometime and we could go to a Sea Dogs game. =D

Well, yes, we certainly could, and I'm thinking of it-but you gotta admit, not quite the same. :)

Nope, it's definitely not, but unless I find a few hundred bucks on the ground somewhere, Fenway is not an option. Heck, if we did make plans, they would probably have to wait till I find a new job, because not so much with even having enough to pay my bills right now. Being poor sucks. =P

A few hundred bucks?? How much is a bus ticket?? I'm sure we could get tickets WAY cheaper than that, I have my ways. :)

I have to say, games are SO much more fun with someone who is as crazy and obsessed as me-and you fit the bill nicely!

*g* No, I just threw out a random number. I think it would be like thirty to thirty-five bucks for a round trip to Boston. Then there would be the price of the game ticket, and various incidentals, and I wouldn't be surprised if I did end up being able to spend several hundred bucks. I'm talented like that.

Anything is more fun with a fellow obsesser!
