So this week's challenge at
everwood100 is, of all thing, crossovers. After I was finished laughing hysterically at the timing, I had an idea.
Buffy/Everwood: What if, when all those girls and women came into their Slayer powers in the Buffy finale, Delia was one of them?
I actually ended up writing a second drabble a little while after the first, so I decided I might as well post them here.
Drabble one:
Delia started feeling different that day. Strong. Fast. Sure of herself. She could see better and hear better, and when she saw that older boy hitting Ephram, she didn't run to go find a grown-up.
She ran to Ephram instead, and she hit that boy in the stomach so hard that he fell right on his butt.
Ephram was amazed. The boy called them freaks, but then he ran away, and that was all she cared about.
Delia turned and beamed at her brother.
"I won't let them hurt you anymore. It's my job to take care of you now."
**********
Drabble two:
There was something different about Delia. Andy had noticed it over the past few weeks; she was quicker and more coordinated, could hear her name from three rooms away, and she was tougher. She gave off a vibe of strength and power that eight year olds rarely had.
And, oddly, she broke things. She always said she expected the item to be heavier or sturdier than it was.
So part of him remained unsurprised when the young red-headed woman at the door smiled brightly and said she was a witch named Willow Rosenberg, and she'd come to see Delia Brown.
