UCHENNA AND JOYCE UCHENNA AND JOYCE UCHENNA AND JOYCE.

YAY.

I'll tell you what, I never stopped pulling for Rob and Amber, but at some point Uchenna and Joyce won me over and I just fell right in love with them. I could not be happier with how this Race ended. LOVE.

Couple this with the superdramatic Red Sox win - KEVIN MILLAR!! - and I'm not even bothered about the Tigers or the Astros. This was fantastic.

I won't complain about Uchenna and Joyce, mostly because Uchenna is possibly the most awesome human being on the face of the planet, but I certainly wouldn't have minded seeing Rob and Amber beat them out.

In closing, Shut Up, Kelly.

Is the thing. I would have been just as happy to see Rob and Amber make it. So I went into it figuring that Ron and Kelly would probably win, because that's how these things go. *g*

Also, shut up a lot, Kelly. You know, it occurred to me to today that in terms of likeability, Ron and Alex were both kind of overshadowed and screwed by the intense unlikeability of Kelly and Lynn. Ron and Alex should so have been their own team. =D

AHAHA you're a TWoPper, aren't you? I knew I liked you.

SERIOUSLY. At one point I was just like, "I DON'T CARE WHO IT IS. As long at it's not Ron & Kelly." But I'm so glad that it was Uchenna and Joyce. Ron & Amber were my favorites, but Uchenna and Joyce deserved it. They have to be the most wonderful people in the world.

Now that I've come down from the high - Rob and Amber ran the best race, and in a fair world I think they would have won. Just like in a fair world Rob would have won Survivor: All-Star, because he kicked the shit out of that game. I am officially sick of watching Rob Mariano lose. *g*

But - Uchenna and Joyce winning is wonderful too. They were far and away the most consistently pleasant and likeable Racers, and the part of their win that doesn't go down to luck is owed to the fact that they worked together every bit as well as Rob and Amber did. I'm very happy with the way things turned out.

And I am officially hooked and will so be watching next season. =D

Yeah, that was supposed to be Rob and Amber, not Ron and Amber, as I'm sure you realized. As far as I'm concerned, Ron and Kelly are both rednecks, and I wouldn't want to date either of them.

I am officially sick of watching Rob Mariano lose.
Me too, but I'll never be sick of watching Rob Mariano. ;)

And yes, I'll be watching the wedding special. -__-

Oh, good, then I'm not the only loser. >_<

You know, I pretend to be all cynical and shit, but I squealed like a little girl when Rob proposed to Amber. I'm kind of looking forward to the wedding special.

I'll never be sick of watching Rob Mariano.

Hee, me either. Maybe if he'd WON Survivor like he was SUPPOSED TO except that the JURY was a bunch of CRYBABIES, I'd be over it, but I was all excited about TAR because I wanted to see if he'd win this time. And now I just wanna watch the special because, hell, I've come this far in the Rob/Amber love, plus I really like them together. They're good for each other.

[identity profile] gutterqueen.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I squeed, too. And last night when he was all, "Well, I've got Amber and that's number one in my book." Or something like that. Aw.

I KNOW. Awwww.

Taped it and watched it after I got back from my trip. Not being a Rob and Amber fan, and hating Kelly like any red-blooded, air-breathing human being should, I was of course ecstatic with the result. To me, Uchenna & Joyce's victory was all the more meaningful because not only did they run the entire race with the disadvantage of not being pseudo-celebrities, but they also were forced to run the last leg starting with nothing (stupid stupid TAR non-elimination rules!) and still somehow managed to come out on top. Their teamwork and perseverance were outstanding, and they completely deserved the win.

I didn't really have anything against Rob and Amber, other than his cockiness and attitude in general got on my nerves frequently. But I am glad to be rid of them and really couldn't care less about their fame-whore wedding. Their presence in the race annoyed me, in part because I didn't think they should have been there and also because other teams would not shut up about them! If CBS makes the mistake of pitting stunt-cast teams against ordinary teams in the future, I honestly don't think I'll watch. But other than that, I'm totally TAR's bitch forever and look forward to chatting with you about it again next season!

And let me not forgot to add my own FREE RON! to the petition.
