I think most to the fact that I adored her personality in the first few episodes of season one
Jenny is adorable in those episodes. When I was rewatching them, I kept thinking what a shame it was that she would become so awful later and wondering exactly how that had happened. She just doesn't give any sign of the mean person she turns into, you know? It was oddly satisfying to finally figure it all out when I saw the S3 finale.
it still gave me a better understanding which I will shove in the face of the next person to try to excuse such behaviour. So thanks for that!
You are so very welcome, and I am really glad to hear this. I had to do a lot of reading and thinking and reexamining the world before I became able to fully understand the real definition of consent, and to be honest, I still have trouble with it sometimes. It's less painful to think of rape as being the violent act we're taught it is; accepting this definition of consent means accepting how widespread and common rape really is, and that's hard, but it's also something that needs to be accepted before it can be changed. I'm really pleased that I've helped to better your understanding and given you something you can use to further other people's understanding as well.
I completely lost what I wanted to say more in this comment, and I am pretty sure it's a mess.
Haha, don't even worry about it. This is a great comment. And I am the last person who gets to call people out for their grammatical crutches - I don't even want to know how many semi-colons show up in this meta!
Thanks so much for commenting! I've really enjoyed seeing what people have had to say here.
