Yeah, this stuff is hard to talk or think about if you don't have the tools for it. One of my favorite things about everything I've learned in the past year or two about -isms and privilege and rape culture and all those other insidious things is that never again will "But it's just a movie/TV show/whatever" shut me up, because now I can explain why it's not.
