The Sarah Jane Adventures!
I LOVE THIS SHOW SO HARD YOU GUYS.
YOU GUYS. LUKE/CLYDE AS PLOT DEVICE. SERIOUSLY. Like. I am all a-flutter. Luke realized he could save the day because he touched Clyde! AND THEN. "I was just seeing if you were under my control now." YOU'D LIKE THAT WOULDN'T YOU LUKE.
Ahem. Reminding self that the characters in question are fourteen. But, man, the subtext is just getting so blatant. Like, if they had this particular encounter and dialogue between Luke and Rani, I would be assuming that the show was angling to hook them up. It's that obvious. (. . . which, okay, is probably why it was Clyde. But still. STILL.)
As for the rest of the show:
* Editing FAIL. They skipped right over my sign! I am an Aquarian, and the sign on the wheel lit up, but Trueman didn't verbally call it. What does that mean? Did I get hypnotized, but did not actually bother to leave the house? Or did I leave, but I had no idea why and so wandered back home? WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?
* Clyde is getting to be INCREDIBLY INTENSELY AWESOME this series. That is so cool. He's a great character and deserves more than to be the minority kid filling out the roster.
* Luke gaining confidence and realizing that being different isn't a disaster! I'm so proud. He'll be so much happier once he figures out that trying to fit in everywhere is a waste of damn time. And now he gets to have a special day, and you know Sarah Jane will plan the most ridiculous party ever next year. ♥
* As always, I want to know - what about Torchwood? I can't be arsed to look up Ianto's birthdate and sign right now, but he was born in August, and so would have been one of the first few rounds. I bet that was awesome, right in the middle of a meeting or something: "I accept the Ancient Lights." "What? . . . Ianto, what the hell? Get back here!" At least this was a global phenomenon that I definitely buy them not knowing about until it was way too late. Unlike, say, the moon hurtling toward the Earth.
Also, I love this show. This series might possibly be slightly better than the first. MORE PEOPLE NEED TO WATCH IT.
