Random drabble time! A bit more of the Torchwood/Jeeves and Wooster crossover. For context, Jack is there because Torchwood's sensors picked up an artifact of some kind in Bertie's flat. I'm having a hard time getting this to settle into a fic proper, but by god I'll get some drabbles out of it.
Bertie Wooster has a knack for telling stories. Jack thinks he's making half of them up - no one's life is that convoluted - but he doesn't mind, because the fun is in the storyteller, not the content. Wooster's face lights up with the pleasure of the telling, lending him an appealing glow, and Jack finds himself becoming less annoyed with that goddamned Jeeves for constantly being in his way. He'll have to sort that situation out eventually, but the artifact is dormant for now, and it's been far too long since Jack just enjoyed himself.
