de·fen·es·trate    ( P )  Pronunciation Key  (d-fn-strt)
tr.v. de·fen·es·trat·ed, de·fen·es·trat·ing, de·fen·es·trates

To throw out of a window.

Wow. There is an entire word to denote the concept of throwing out of a window. Sure, you threw it out the window, but you also defenestrated it. That just makes my fucking day. Which just goes to show how deeply bland my day was.

Defenestrate is one of my favorite words ever. I am frequently tempted to chuck things out windows just so I can use it.

But I don't, 'cos I'm well-behaved and all.

Apparently, the Czechs are quite fond of defenstration, as they have done it a few times in their history, so much so that when one speaks of The Defenestration of Prague, it is necessary to specify whether one means the Defenstration of 1416 or if 1618. More fun defenestration facts here (http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/lutheranism/99284).
