Yeah. So I'd totally edited out of my memory the fact that Francona went and put Pedro into Game Seven for an excruciating inning, in which he gave up two runs and caused eight thousand more "Who's your daddy?"s. Why? HATE.
Seriously. This inning scared me. Sure, we had eight runs in the seventh inning, and sure, the Yankees had fallen apart at this point, but - well, shades of Grady much? ARGH. HAAAAAATE.
I'm so glad that we never again have to worry about exactly when Pedro is going to implode and if they'll pull him out soon enough. I've pretty much moved past the frothing rage of December, but I'm still not going to miss him one damned bit.
